Pastor's Greeting
   Acts 2:42 & 47b

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching
and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer…praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Mountain Christian Church has been serving the Harford County community since 1824. I have been blessed to a part of this ministry since 1997. During that time I have experienced the warm fellowship, vibrant worship and relevant Biblical teaching that have characterized Mountain throughout our history. God has continued to help us grow and touch the lives of more and more people as a result

Ben CachiarasOur doors and arms are open wide. Even people who “don’t go to church” feel welcome here. This is a place where people from all walks of life seek answers, get help and make friends. Though more and more people are joining the Mountain family, we connect in small groups for sense of belonging and spiritual strengthening. The center of this warm, caring fellowship is Jesus Christ. He is the One Who loves us so much, and He has given us the Hope, Peace and Joy our lives need.

This is a special place, and God is doing incredible things in the lives of many people at Mountain. There is a place for you and your family here. If you are seeking answers, looking for help, needing guidance or interested in learning more about Jesus Christ and growing in Him, we have an excellent staff eager to assist you in your search for life’s best.

I invite you to come for a service or a special event and be a part in the quest to grow deeper in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Senior Pastor

 Biographical Sketch: Ben Cachiaras

ben_familyBen provides leadership for our Mountain family, as well as being our primary weekend teacher. Mountain elders prayerfully discern God’s leading and provide Ben with the overall spiritual direction. His gifts as a teacher and communicator help him to openly express the truths of the Bible.

Ben is just a regular guy who loves the Lord and loves his job as a pastor. Ben was called to Mountain in 1997. He grew up in Minnesota as evidenced by his frequent reference to the Vikings and thick northern accent, but we forgive him. He is a graduate of Minnesota Bible College (now Crossroads College) and Emmanuel School of Religion where he is currently a Doctoral student. He follows in the footsteps of his grandparents and parents who spent their lives in Christian ministry. He and his wife, Karla, have three young children, Nathan, Andrew, and Ellie. Ben is a rock climber and loves sports.

Consider this a personal invitation from Ben to our Welcome to Mountain class. We’d love to meet you and get better acquainted.
